So, October has been quite an eventful month, when it comes to entertaining weekends.
Well, this may not be for everyone, but for the nerds in town this may definitely be true.
I have been off to Sweden last weekend to attend Imagicon2 - the Swedish national SciFi & Fantasy convention and was asked to write a report.
Now this in mind, I would feel bad not mentioning Octocon at all and possibly draw some comparison points, but we will see, how far we get.

Is it rude to say this to a person who smells bad, that sits down next to you in a public place ?
I mean , If they would sit down and sing loud and badly, people would probably eventually say something , or at least show much more their dislike than when a person smells bad.
I have asked this question people before and everyone agreed on it being a rude thing to say, but why is that ?
I'm really frustrated because I react very sensitive to smells.
With bad I don`t actually necessary mean sweat or so. Most of the time sweat is nicer than 3 tons of perfumes people splash on in the morning. It makes me go blind and I have to repress my urge to vomit. I regard it as an actual physical attack upon my person.
I have thought this many times and usually I end up getting up and moving place [if I can], even though I have been sitting at that spot before the stinker arrived.
When one is saving a place for a friend , others that want to sit down understand and move away - why the fuck is it that you can't say "No, you can't sit down there, because your smell is wanna make me throw up ?"
Argh
[This rant was brought on by me having to move compartment this morning, because halfway through the journey someone entered the ALMOST ENTIRELY EMPTY train and sat down right next to me, smelling like a perfume shop]

For English speakers - The CCC`s goal is to hack into the servers of the NDP (German political party which basically stands for everything Germany isn’t (anymore). More info here ) and has played pranks on them for quite some time now, i.e: decorating one of their main hompages
It appears they recently have found content in one of their forums that connects the NDP to serious right wing underground shit, which is under investigation now. more info/links
The CCC publishes their technical details they have on the NDP to encourage anyone who wants to join in to help.

K guess I should update...
For everyone who didn`t hear it yet -
Paulees parents were involved in a tragic car accident on Tuesday.
Her Dad is badly injured and in a worrying state. A bit improvement was to be seen over the last two days, though.
Her Mum did unfortunately not make it and was buried today.
We went up to Donegal on Tuesday and were joined by ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) dequath yesterday evening.
I went back to Dublin this morning.
Further updates to that matter will be given on her lj once she is back.
It was one hell of a shock !
Thanks for everyone who sent kind words n hugs to her. They were and still are highly apprechiated!
May was one hell of a month.
It can only go up from here.
